Breony Jones is a San Antonio-based fine artist and illustrator pursuing her BFA at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago. Her work explores Black identity, faith, and storytelling through various mediums.

Drawing inspiration from Norman Rockwell’s narrative depth, Jones’s paintings and drawings explore rich storytelling and emotional complexity, while her digital illustrations often take cues from the playful aesthetic of 2000s Saturday morning cartoons. This duality in her practice reflects her passion for telling Black stories across every medium she takes up, blending fine art and illustration to create work that is both visually engaging and deeply resonant. Her recent pieces delve into themes of divine intimacy, protection, and representation, reclaiming Christianity as a powerful and unapologetic aspect of her identity.
